Home, Radon, and Flood... Oh My! Inspections: On the Seller's End

Selling an older home and nervous for when inspections come up? Make the inspection process run smoother-

Be Proactive!!!

If you see any chipping paint, rusty gutters, broken appliances, or cracks in the wall (just to name a few), you should get them repaired before you list it.

Know what to expect. You're Realtor should be able to tell you the typical major items a home inspector will most likely flag in the home. Getting a jump start on repairs you know will most likely come out at inspections, will only help the home selling process and could potentially save a deal.

Bigger things may come out of inspections that no one could have detected ahead of time before the licensed inspector like high radon tests or broken sewer lines. But at least you can tackle the minor repairs and get them out of the way ahead of time and make things run smoother.
